S.S. Central America California Gold Rush Gold Dust |
| The S.S. Central America sank on September 12, 1857 and has often been referred to as the "Ship of Gold," due to all the gold dust, gold bars, gold coins, gold bullion and California Territorial Gold coins it carried. During the recovery of more than two tons of treasure from the shipwreck, alot of gold dust and small gold nuggets were recovered. Gold that was panned for by the 49er's of the California Gold Rush. This item contains 1.5grams of original California Gold-Rush era gold dust, recovered from the S.S. Central America. It has been certified as such by PCGS and comes with a certificate of authenticity, personally signed by Bob Evans, chief scientist, historian, and curator for the company responsible for recovering this treasure. A very limited amount of these capsules are available. |
