| American Buffalo Coin and Currency Set. This set is a significant keepsake reflecting America's human and natural history and the important role of indigenous people in the Nation's development. It contains an uncirculated American Buffalo Commemorative Silver Dollar, reprising James Earle Fraser's design for the U.S. "Buffalo Nickel" minted from 1913 to 1938. It also includes a Mint Condition 1987 10 cent Red Cloud United States Postage Stamp. Red Cloud earned a reputation as a warrior, diplomat and leader. He was leader of the Oglala Lakota for many years. The set also includes a Series 1899 $5 Indian Chief Silver Certificate Replica produced by the Bureau of Engraving and Print. It was printed from a plate prepared from the original master die. The certificate features a likenes of Ta-to-ka-in-yna-ka, also known as "Running Antelope, of the Hunkpapa Lakota Tribe. This set is complete as it was originally sold by the U.S. Mint and everything is in excellent condition. |
