| 2006 Poarch Creek "Pow Wow" Silver Dollar - UNC. The Pow Wow Silver Dollar for 2006 features an Indian dancer on one side, and an Indian chief on a galloping horse on the other. Originally held as a homecoming for tribal members in 1971, the Poarch Creek Indian Pow Wow has become a cultural festival that attracts over 10,000 visitors each year. The current site of the Pow Wow is upon land that was originally inhabited by this tribe of people. Dance performances in authentic native costume are a major event of the Pow Wow.
