2005 Poarch Creek "Tchow-ee-put-o-kaw" Silver Dollar - PROOF |
2005 Poarch Creek "Tchow-ee-put-o-kaw" Silver Dollar - PROOF. The image for this coin was taken from a portrait by George Catlin, done in 1836. The artist found her of particular interest because her dress did not reflect the colorful Creek dress of the 1830s, which was based on European fashion, but seemed to hark back to earlier times. Her necklace of silver disks may have been a trade item. This coin contains one ounce of .999 pure silver and has a $1 denomination. It is in Gem Proof condition and comes with a carrying pouch and certificate of authenticity. |
