A half-pound (eight troy ounces) of .999 fine silver in the form of a St. Gaudens Double Eagle. A beautiful medallion which as been gold-plated. Issued by the Washington Mint, the medal measures nearly 3 1/2" in diameter. It is encased in a hard plastic capsule and comes with a nice, plush display box. A very impressive item.
